A residential elevator in Jerusalem’s Old City fell approximately 6 m on November 23, resulting in the death of the 80-year-old woman inside, various news outlets, including The Yeshiva World, report. First responders found the woman at the bottom of the shaft, in cardiac arrest with trauma to her lower extremities. Resuscitation efforts were unsuccessful, and she was pronounced dead.
